Welcome to the LatinShack!
The LatinShack is a small dance studio looking to promote a fusion of Latin and Brazilian dance styles and music all under one roof!
We have a main dance floor of 9mx4m plus a smooth paved dance area outside (3mx8m) for warm summer evenings. There is a small chillout area and there's plenty of space in the gardens for lounging and chilling (weather permitting!)
Given that virtually no-one is dancing Zouk and Gafieira in the UK outside of London, lessons will inevitably be aimed at beginner's/Improver's level but the level taught will rise as we detect people getting to grips with the dance.
Take the challenge!
The LatinShack is aimed at existing social dancers that are growing a little weary of the same dance style (perhaps Salsa) and wish to diversify. This is a real challenge, as learning different techniques and rhythms can be a little confusing at first, particularly when interleaved with your more regular dance style. But persevere! If you master these extra dance genres you will find your dance evenings become even more entertaining, and more challenging than ever before.
If you have never done any social/partner dancing before then you are still very welcome. At the parties, you may miss out on some Salsa in the club afterwards but I suspect there will be plenty of people willing to give you some informal lessons if you ask
